This work of art is one of several works of art by Menashe Kadishman exhibited in the Museum. Ilana Goor’s portrait was created by Kadishman as a personal gift given to her in honor of the opening of the Museum in 1995. The portrait is composed of a combination of iron filaments representing the hair, spots of color for the eyes and a paint brush in the right hand which reveals the artist’s profession. Goor’s portrait was created in a very characteristic Kadishman fashion which recalls his sheep, constituting an amusing interpretation of the recurring sheep motif in his works.
