This work of art is one of several pieces by English artist Henry Moore exhibited in the Museum. This bronze statue is a miniature model of a similar outdoor sculpture. The statue won the nickname of "leaning figure" and it depicts a female figure leaning in an abstract way, without any identifiable details. The source of inspiration for this statue was the Mexican rain god, which the artist saw when he visited the British Museum.
