This fancy piano is an earlier version of the piano. It was defective when it was purchased and just stood in the museum as another piece of furniture. However, when conductor Zubin Mehta paid a visit to the museum and revealed the identity of the rare object to Ilana Goor, she renovated it, adjusted it and breathed new life into an object whose time had passed. The museum features four different pianos, all of which were purchased by Ilana Goor because of her strong ties to music. Her grandmother, Matilda Sapir, was a famous concert pianist who played for the Russian Tsar.
