This work of art is one of several works of art by Yaacov Agam exhibited in the Museum and it characterizes the artist’s style. This is a kinetic sculpture of metal pipes coated with gold, based on movement that can be created by utilizing physical forces and factors with or without the viewer’s touch. Kinetic art is a product of the 20th century and constitutes confrontation and utilization of the encounter between art and technology. Kinetic art calls for the participation of the viewer of the art work, as one who sets it in motion or as one where the illusion of movement is created in his mind. This configuration of shapes causes the human brain to perceive a fictitious movement designed to both fill the emptiness and to empty the fullness.
