This statue of a soldier only showing the lower half of his body from the hips downward seated on bronze casting evokes questions in the viewers' minds, such as: Was he wounded? Is he resting? What happened to him? What does his face look like? Ilana Goor's soldier teases the imagination and evokes different associations in different people. The army boots disclose his identity as a fighter and the small penis sprouting between his legs bear witness to his masculinity, compliments of a humoristic wink from the artist.
