The Polish artist Anna Goebel makes use of available materials in particular in her region, including birch wood twigs. “God of the Wind” which is composed of these twigs appears as a grass mat which has unravelled, or long feminine hair which has been mussed and there are even those that see connotations with the parting of the Red Sea. The traditionalism of this work and the mystery that it conceals make it an interesting piece and as such invites the viewer to try to pin it down and investigate it more thoroughly.
