Self Portrait | Dudi Dayan

In this unusual self portrait, the photographer Dudi Dayan presents another interpretation of the conventional portrait prevalent in the art world, based for the most part on a frontal profile photograph. However, Dayan’s figure is in a stormy emotional state, with a screaming and wide open mouth. Bright red paint daubed on his clothes and on the fabric blindfold covering his eyes adds drama to the situation and fluctuates on the representative seam between color and blood.
