A chair belonging to the sculpted furniture series created in a limited edition by Ilana Goor. The series includes 15 different items: tables, chairs, floor lamps and a tea trolley. They are made from a combination of powerful and delicate or soft materials. This chair is made of iron which constitutes the spine, arms made of ebony which is considered to be one of the most desired woods in the prestigious wood industry, and a seat of vibrant embroidery which provides the ensemble with a surprising twist. The chair, similar to other chairs in Goor’s series, is characterized mainly by a combination of rounded and cold metal with warm leather or alternatively authentic fabric creating a piece of furniture perceived as a sculpted art work in itself. The rounded lines award a softness to the hard iron and integrate with the fabric, the leather and the wood as complementary materials.
