Levontin Quartet

To close our Jazz on the Rooftop season, we are delighted to welcome the Levontin Quartet for their first performance at the museum. The quartet is the house band of Levontin 7, one of Tel Aviv’s most beloved music venues.
An evening of jazz standards and beloved blues, old and new dreams, featuring a quartet founded by saxophonist Assif Tsahar, a prominent figure in the free jazz scene who has performed alongside some of the leading jazz musicians in the United States and Europe.
Upon returning to Israel, Tsahar founded Levontin 7, which became a vibrant hub for a new generation of musicians and original, innovative music.

Spice’n’Space

Spice’n’Space is a funk band inspired by the jazz and funk of the 1970s, combining infectious grooves, improvisation and original melodies in a high-energy live performance.
The band was founded in 2021 following a chance encounter between flautist Matan Klein and drummer Uriah Madar. Since then, the band has developed a distinctive musical style, released its debut album, The Funk Thing, in 2023, and performed across Europe and Asia.
In 2026, the band is set to release its new EP, The Granola Incident, recorded and filmed live, drawing inspiration from the sound and atmosphere of the 1970s.
